The presentation will include demonstrations of output with the different methods and a summary of benefits and limitations to each option

Chris Goodell has 30 years of hydropower-specific experience and specializes in water resource hydraulic engineering. He is an internationally known leader in HEC-RAS and dam breach modeling. Chris has served as instructor for HEC-RAS professional continuing education courses and taught over 100 courses throughout the United States and ten countries. He is the developer and primary author of “The RAS Solution”, a HEC-RAS blog and author of the book “Breaking the HEC-RAS Code”, as well as co-host of the Full Momentum Podcast. Chris developed McBreach, a software program that runs HEC-RAS dam breach models in a probabilistic framework. Chris’ expertise includes hydraulic modeling, dam break studies, sediment transport, bridge and culvert design, inundation mapping, professional development training, and software development/design.
